What we collect

When you sign up, we collect your .edu email address and basic profile information you choose to provide (name, photo, school year, age, and bio). When you post a listing, we collect the details and photos you submit, including the address — though we only ever display an approximate location publicly. We also collect messages you send through the Service and basic usage analytics to understand how cashew is used.

How we use it

We use your information to operate cashew: to verify you’re a student, show listings near your campus, enable messaging between users, and improve the product. We use a third-party analytics provider to measure usage in aggregate. We do not sell your personal information.

What others can see

Other verified students can see your public profile and any listings you post (with approximate location only). Your exact address is never shown publicly — you choose whether to share it in a private message. Your email is not shown to other users.

Your choices

You can edit your profile or delete your listings at any time. To delete your account and associated data, email support@cashewcampus.comand we’ll take care of it.
